Car Crashes into Wall on 80 Freeway in Sacramento Seriously Injuring 3 People

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (January 24, 2023) – Three people were injured in a car accident on 80 Freeway in Sacramento late Tuesday afternoon on January 17.
 
The accident happened around 5:30 p.m. near Madison Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, a man was driving the car with two female occupants when he lost control and drove off the roadway. The car then crashed into the sound wall.
 
The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District responded and extricated one patient from the vehicle.
 
All three people inside the car were taken to local hospitals with major but non-life-threatening injuries.
 
All of the occupants were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
 
At this time, the cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
