TEMECULA, CA (May 2, 2022) – Three people were injured today in a head-on accident at Joseph Road and Nicholas Road in Temecula on Wednesday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 3:50 p.m. on April 27 just east of Highway 79. According to the California Highway Patrol, two cars collided head-on at the intersection for unknown reasons.
 
Riverside County Fire Department crews arrived within 10 minutes and found the vehicles crumpled, trapping occupants in both cars.
 
Firefighters extricated the three victims who suffered moderate to major injuries. Three ambulances took the patients to a regional trauma center for treatment.
 
No other details available at this time. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
