Early Morning DUI Rollover Crash on 5 Freeway in Fresno County Sends Driver and 2 Passengers to Hospital

 
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (June 13, 2023) – Three people were hospitalized in a DUI rollover crash on 5 Freeway in Fresno County early Sunday morning on June 11.
 
The crash happened just before 3:00 a.m. at Panoche Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a 20-year-old woman was driving on the freeway when she struck a small embankment. The impact caused the car to overturn and crash into a tree.
 
Two passengers in the car, a 19-year-old and a 22-year-old, both suffered major injuries and were taken to Community Regional Medical Center.
 
The driver sustained moderate injuries.
 
Once released from the hospital, the driver will be arrested on suspicion of DUI.
