RIVERSIDE, CA (March 3, 2022) — Thomas Shelton died in a pedestrian accident on Van Buren Boulevard near California Avenue on Sunday night.
 
According to the Riverside Police, the fatal pedestrian crash happened around 11:10 p.m. For unknown reasons, 37-year-old Shelton began stepping in and out of a four-lane corridor. Although some drivers had stopped for him, a 58-year-old Riverside woman driving a 2013 Volkswagen Jetta did not.
 
As a result, the Jetta struck the Riverside man, causing him fatal injuries.
