19-Year-Old Motorcyclist Dies after Crashing into Car on Dove Road in San Joaquin County
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, CA (September 28, 2022) – A teen died in a motorcycle accident on Dove Road in San Joaquin County on Sunday afternoon, September 25.
The accident happened just before 2:00 p.m. at Escalon-Bellota Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, the 19-year-old from Escalon was riding an off-road motorcycle west on Dove Road and stopped at a stop sign at Escalon-Bellota Road.
For unknown reasons, the motorcyclist rode into the intersection and crashed into the side of a Lexus that was traveling south on Escalon-Bellota and did not have a stop sign.
The rider suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. His name had not been released.
The driver of the Lexus, a 64-year-old Bay Area man, was not injured.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. The CHP Stockton Office asked anyone with further information to contact them at 209-938-4800.
