Teen Dies in Dirt Bike Crash on Sunnyslope Road in Phelan

 
PHELAN, CA (June 16, 2022) — A teen died in a dirt bike accident on Sunnyslope Road at Sahara Road on Wednesday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal dirt bike accident happened around 1:27 p.m. The reporting party said that a teen riding a dirt bike came around the corner and struck the front of the SUV as he drove down a dirt road.
 
Shortly after, CHP officers and paramedics responded to the scene and found the driver of the Chevy Tahoe who said the 14 or 15-year-old male had a pulse but was unresponsive.
 
Despite efforts to save the victim, paramedics pronounced him dead.
 
At this time, authorities have not confirmed the liability and reason for the crash. However, anyone with information should call the CHP Department.
