Teen Struck, Injured by Robbery Suspects at Via Granada in San Lorenzo

 
SAN LORENZO, CA (August 29, 2023) — A teen was hit and injured by two robbery suspects at Via Granada and Via Cordoba.
 
According to the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened around 4:00 p.m. Monday. At a Citibank branch at 429 Paseo Grande, a suspect robbed the branch after passing a note to the bank teller threatening to blow up the building. Subsequently, the robber fled from the scene in a sedan that took off.
 
Soon after, a police chase unfolded in a blue four-door sedan. At the intersection of Via Granada and Via Cordoba, however, the vehicle struck a 14-year-old male.
 
Police abandoned the pursuit to tend to the teen’s non-life-threatening injuries.
 
As of now, the whereabouts of the two suspects are unclear. However, if anyone has more information, call the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office.
