SUV Slams into Victorville Fire Medic Squad Truck on La Mesa Road

 
VICTORVILLE, CA (June 8, 2022) – Susie Swanson was killed in a two-vehicle accident in Victorville Friday afternoon on June 3.
 
The accident happened around 3:00 p.m. on La Mesa Road at Amethyst Road near Liberty Elementary School. Police said Swanson was a passenger in a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer with two other people. For unknown reasons, the Chevrolet slammed into a Victorville Fire Medic Squad truck.
 
Firefighters extricated Swanson who was trapped in the SUV. Mercy Air 22 then airlifted her to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
 
Meanwhile, a ground ambulance transported a Victorville City firefighter and two other occupants from the SUV to Desert Valley Hospital.
