SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, CA (May 28, 2024) — A student was injured in a school bus accident at Sacramento Avenue and Merced Avenue on Friday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol South Lake Tahoe Division Center, the bus crash happened around 8:00 a.m. For an unknown reason, a driver ran a stop sign and collided with a Lake Tahoe Unified School District school bus.
 
Subsequently, CHP and paramedics responded and took one student with minor injuries and the driver to a hospital for treatment. Although more than a dozen students were on board the bus, only one student suffered an injury.
 
Following the collision, police investigated the accident and made no arrests.
