Car Crashes into New City Cleaners Building on 24th Street near L Street in Bakersfield

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (May 3, 2022) – A building sustained structural damage after a car crashed into a downtown Bakersfield business on Sunday morning.
 
According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the incident happened on May 1 at about 11:00 a.m. Officers received reports of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle at 23rd Street and L Street.
 
Upon arrival, responders did not find a pedestrian. However, they found a vehicle that crashed into the New City Cleaners building at 1201 24th Street.
 
The collision caused evident structural damage to the building.
 
As per reports, no one was injured in the accident.
 
Bakersfield police continue to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
