Steven Tadeo Killed, Sandeep Kumar Uninjured in Vehicle, Big Rig Crash on Highway 99 near Oswald Road

 
YUBA CITY, CA (March 21, 2023) — Steven Tadeo died in an accident after his car crashed into a semi-truck on Highway 99 near Oswald Road.
 
According to the Yuba Sutter California Highway Patrol Office, the fatal two-vehicle crash happened around 12:05 p.m. Sunday. Under unclear circumstances, 30-year-old Steven Tadeo crashed his vehicle into a 53-foot trailer of a big rig on Highway 99.
 
Authorities learned that the big rig driver, 36-year-old Sandeep Kumar, pulled out to turn left onto Highway 99 from Oswald Road. Tadeo’s Toyota pickup truck was in the No. 1 lane traveling at speeds of 65 miles per hour when it hit the landing gear on the left side of the trailer, wedging itself underneath.
 
Tadeo died instantly in the crash. Kumar stopped immediately and contacted 911.
 
According to an investigation, CHP officers ruled out impairment as a possible source of the accident. But if anyone has information on what led to this crash, call the CHP.
