Man Walking His Bicycle Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver in Turlock

 
TURLOCK, CA (November 8, 2023) – Shane Hurst was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Turlock late Monday afternoon on November 6.
 
The fatal crash happened around 5:50 p.m. in the 3100 block of West Christoffersen Parkway. According to the Turlock Police Department, Hurst was walking his bicycle on the way home when he was struck by a car.
 
The driver of the car fled the scene after the crash.
 
Responding officers found Hurst in the center median with a severe head injury.
 
Hurst was rushed to a hospital, where he later died. He was a 33-year-old Turlock resident.
 
Police described the suspect car as a light-colored Hummer (H2) between 2003 and 2009 model, with likely damage to the front driver’s side.
