Shadera Jones Dies, Paul Cruel Unharmed in Pedestrian Crash on Highway 37 near Mare Island

 
VALLEJO, CA (September 23, 2021) — Shadera Jones died in a pedestrian accident on Highway 37 near Mare Island Thursday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian crash happened around 4:00 a.m. For unknown reasons, Paul Cruel driving a red 2014 Nissan Versa on the highway struck 28-year-old Jones.
 
Cruel, uninjured, pulled over and waited for authorities to arrive.
 
Jones succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
 
As for Cruel, reports included no details as to whether police gave him a citation or arrested him. However, reports will be updated once officials release more information.
