Sarah Nefstad Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Showers Drive [Mountain View, CA]

35-Year-Old Woman Dies after Struck by Vehicle in Mountain View

 
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA (December 6, 2023) – Sarah Nefstad was killed in a pedestrian accident in the Mountain View Walmart parking lot Monday morning on December 4.
 
The fatal accident happened around 6:00 a.m. in the 600 block of Showers Drive. According to the Mountain View Police Department, Nefstad was in middle of the parking lot when a Walmart employee, who allegedly could not see clearly because it was dark and foggy, struck her with their vehicle and drove over her.
 
First responders rushed Nefstad to a hospital, where she later died. She was a 35-year-old Oakland resident, according Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office.
 
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police. They were not arrested.
 
Neither drugs, alcohol nor speeding were involved in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
