Robert Rodriguez Unharmed in Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Highway 101 near Humboldt Road
DEL NORTE, CA (November 25, 2024) — Robert Rodriguez was involved in a deadly pedestrian accident on Highway 101 near Humboldt Road.
The California Highway Patrol responded to reports of a deadly accident around 6:00 p.m. Wednesday. Upon arriving, officers learned that Robert Rodriguez was driving northbound on Highway 101 when his Ford Transit van struck a man either riding a bicycle or walking with his bike.
Authorities did not confirm what led to the accident, but they ruled out DUI as a possible factor.
After the crash, CHP, Caltrans, Crescent City Fire, and California State Parks assisted in the investigation as they determined what factors contributed to the cause.
At this time, the victim’s name was not released due to pending notification of family members.
