One Injured in Two Separate Motorcycle Crashes in Montecito

 
MONTECITO, CA (October 31, 2022) — A motorcyclist suffered injuries in a crash on Sycamore Canyon Road on Saturday morning in Montecito.
 
Montecito Fire officials said the incident took place in the 2000 block of Sycamore Canyon Road. At about 9:50 a.m., the motorcyclist collided with a sedan.
 
Based on reports, an American Medical Response ambulance transported the rider to Cottage Hospital. However, no updates are readily available about the severity of injuries. The name of the motorcyclist was also not released.
 
Meanwhile, fire crews responded to a second incident on Santa Rosa Lane, also on Saturday morning. According to the fire officials, they received reports about an engine fire. When firefighters reached the scene, they found a cargo van with its engine in flames.
 
Fortunately, the fire crews were able to swiftly put off the flames. This, in turn, prevented the fire from spreading to nearby vegetation. No injuries were reported in the engine fire incident.
