Power Outage, Injuries in a Single-Car Crash on Lyons Street in Sonora
SONORA, CA (June 20, 2023) — A solo-car accident on Lyons Street near Hope Lane resulted in a power outage and minor injuries.
According to the Sonora Police Department, the single-car crash happened on June 15. Under unclear circumstances, a driver lost control and crashed into a power line, tearing it down. As a result, 350 PG&E customers were without electricity. The Sonora Police reported that East Lyons Street was blocked due to the cleanup.
At least one person suffered minor injuries in the crash, and the road remained blocked for a while as crews worked to restore electricity.
