Phuc Pham, Nguyen Pham Dead, Kevin Parkourana Detained in Stabbings, Deadly Santa Clara Street and 16th Street Pedestrian Crash
SAN JOSE, CA (June 6, 2023) — Phuc Pham and Nguyen Pham died in a pedestrian accident at Santa Clara Street and 16th Street Thursday.
According to San Jose police officers, the pedestrian accident was among the deadly events that unfolded in the South Bay.
The crime spree began around 3:10 p.m. when 31-year-old Kevin Parkourana stabbed two people near his home and on Hillsdale Avenue, the latter occurring 20 minutes later.
Jose Manuel Montoya, one of the stabbed victims, suffered major injuries in the mayhem, which happened on his lunch break. A restaurant cook, Montoya is expected to survive his injuries.
After leaving the scene of the second stabbing, Parkourana stole the victim’s vehicle and struck a pedestrian, who reports say will survive his or her injuries, and two people near their home.
Phuc Pham and Nguyen Pham were the pair of pedestrians hit by Parkourana around 4:10 p.m. They died not long after from their wounds.
By 4:30 p.m., Parkourana drove into a shopping center parking lot along Jacklin Road in Milpitas and stabbed and killed another person. Reports did not release the victim’s name.
Although authorities have not disclosed a motive, they will look into Parkourana’s mental health and potential substance abuse.
