Peter Morquecho Dies in Skateboard Crash on Main Street near 15th Street
SANTA ANA, CA (August 9, 2024) — Peter Morquecho died in a skateboard accident on Main Street near 15th Street.
Santa Ana police officers responded to reports of a skateboard accident around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. Upon responding, officers learned that a southbound driver hit 23-year-old Peter Bryan Duran Morquecho while he was skateboarding south along the west curb of the street.
Morquecho fell to the ground upon impact and became unconscious. He passed away later at a local hospital.
After the crash, the driver stayed and cooperated with police investigators who did not suspect alcohol or drugs to have played a role.
