SACRAMENTO, CA (April 12, 2021) – One person suffered injuries in a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 50 Saturday night.
 
The incident took place near Stockton Boulevard according to the California Highway Patrol. There were three vehicles involved.
 
A truck got disabled in the number 4 lane of Highway 50, and so a Prius stopped behind it. However, the driver of an SUV failed to stop in time and then struck both the truck and the Prius.
 
CHP officials confirmed paramedics took one person with moderate injuries to a hospital. There were no reports of other injuries.
 
Meantime, it was not immediately clear what caused the truck to stall on the highway. Officials had to shut down westbound Highway 50 while they processed the scene. The highway reopened after about 40 minutes.
