Afternoon Pedestrian Crash on 15 Freeway in Tierrasanta Neighborhood Turns Deadly

 
TIERRASANTA, CA (March 6, 2024) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a car on 15 Freeway near the San Diego’s Tierrasanta neighborhood on Wednesday afternoon.
 
The fatal crash happened just after 1:45 p.m. on March 6, near Aero Drive. According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian was walking in the second lane of the freeway when they were struck by an unknown car.
 
As a result of the crash, the pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
At this time, authorities withheld the victim’s identity pending notification of next of kin.
 
It is unclear if the involved driver stayed after the crash. Further investigation is underway.
