Woman Hospitalized after Being Struck by Car on National Avenue near 31st Street

 
LOGAN HEIGHTS, CA (October 29, 2021) – A woman sustained injuries after she was struck by a car on National Avenue, Tuesday morning.
 
According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident happened on October 26 at about 10:15 a.m. Due to unknown circumstances, a gray Toyota Camry hit the pedestrian near 31st Street.
 
Paramedics transported the pedestrian to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Authorities did not release the name of the victim.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the Toyota remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. As per reports, the Toyota had a dent near the middle of its hood.
 
San Diego police continue to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
 
When driving, always be on the lookout for pedestrians. Slow down when approaching crosswalks, intersections, or any area where pedestrians might be present. Also, practice defensive driving at all times.
