Pedestrian Killed in Accident on 91 Freeway [Riverside, CA]

Fatal Riverside Pedestrian Accident on 91 Freeway near Tyler Street

 
RIVERSIDE, CA (December 13, 2023) – A pedestrian died in an accident on 91 Freeway, Monday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on December 11, at about 8:15 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, a vehicle hit the victim near the Tyler Street on-ramp.
 
Emergency crews pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
 
It is unknown whether the driver stayed.
 
Responders issued a SigAlert that lasted until 10:10 p.m.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the fatal accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
