Early Morning Pedestrian Accident on Gibson Road in Woodland Turns Deadly

 
WOODLAND, CA (March 11, 2024) – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle on Gibson Road at County Road 97 in Woodland early Sunday morning.
 
The fatal crash happened around 12:45 a.m. on March 10. According to the Yolo County Sheriff’s Office, the pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in unclear circumstances.
 
First responders found the pedestrian unresponsive on the roadway. They attempted life-saving efforts, but the pedestrian died at the scene.
 
At this time, the identity of the victim was not immediately available.
 
It is also unknown if the involved driver stayed after the crash.
 
An investigation into this fatality is ongoing.
