EL SOBRANTE, CA (February 13, 2024) – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle on Appian Way in El Sobrante Monday morning on February 12.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle struck the pedestrian at 5075 Appian Way around 7:23 a.m.
 
Contra Costa Fire crews responded and provided aid to the pedestrian, who was later pronounced dead.
 
At this time, the identity of the victim was not immediately available.
 
The circumstances of the crash are still under investigation.
