SAN FRANCISCO, CA (January 2, 2023) — A pedestrian was hit and killed by a hit-and-run driver near Bay Street and Stockton Street.
 
According to reports, the fatal pedestrian accident happened around 5:00 a.m. Wednesday near Pier 39 and Fisherman’s Wharf. Upon arriving, San Francisco police officers found a pedestrian on the side of the road but the car was nowhere on site.
 
Authorities confirmed the fatality not long after but have withheld the person’s name pending notification of next of kin.
