Pedestrian Hit, Killed by Driver on Highway 101 in San Jose

 
SAN JOSE, CA (April 1, 2024) — A pedestrian hit on Highway 101 at the 880 Freeway died from his severe injuries.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly pedestrian accident happened early Thursday. For an unknown reason, a male pedestrian was walking on the freeway near the 880 Freeway interchange. Subsequently, a driver struck him under unknown circumstances.
 
Moments later, authorities and paramedics arrived at the scene and closed all but the left lane to investigate. Due to his injuries, the victim passed away. Officials did not release his name.
 
At this time, authorities do not know the ultimate cause. However, if anyone knows how the car hit the pedestrian on Highway 101, please call the CHP.
