Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle near Carson Street in Torrance

 
TORRANCE, CA (April 17, 2023) — A pedestrian was hit and killed by a car near Carson Street and Western Avenue.
 
According to the Torrance Police Department, the fatal pedestrian accident happened around 2:00 a.m. Sunday. For unknown reasons, a driver struck a man near the intersection. Paramedics arrived shortly thereafter and rushed the victim to a hospital where he died from his injuries.
 
The driver, who was unimpaired, stayed at the scene and cooperated with police investigators.
 
At this time, officers do not have the victim’s name or the reason for the crash. However, an investigation into these details should confirm what happened.
