Pedestrian Accident Turns Fatal on Highway 120 in Manteca

 
MANTECA, CA (September 21, 2023) — A pedestrian died after being hit by a car on Highway 120 near Jack Tone Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly pedestrian crash happened around 4:23 a.m. Wednesday.
 
Under unclear circumstances, a driver struck a person on the westbound side of the highway. As a result, the victim suffered fatal injuries in the crash, and the pickup truck driver reported no wounds.
 
Due to the wreck, investigators had to close the area to identify the factors leading to the crash. At this time, authorities have ruled out DUI.
