Paul Casanas Detained for DUI, Hitting Fire Hydrant, Shop at Wabash Avenue and Broadway Street
EUREKA, CA (March 6, 2024) — Paul Casanas faces DUI charges after crashing into a fire hydrant and a closed business at Wabash Avenue and Broadway Street.
According to the Eureka Police Department, the DUI crash happened around 10:45 a.m. Saturday. For DUI-related reasons, 57-year-old Casanas lost control of his SUV and struck a fire hydrant and The Family Nails & Spa business at the intersection.
Soon after, police and paramedics arrived at the scene and evaluated him for his injuries. Upon investigating the crash, police arrested Casanas and booked him into Humboldt County Jail for DUI and driving on a suspended license from a previous DUI.
As for The Family Nails & Spa business, it sustained considerable damage due to the crash.
