Motorcycle Crash on Bear Valley Road in Victorville Kills Dog and Leaves Passenger in Critical Condition

 
VICTORVILLE, CA (May 7, 2024) – A passenger was critically injured in a motorcycle accident on Bear Valley Road in Victorville Thursday evening on May 2.
 
The accident happened around 10:30 p.m. near Shooting Star Drive. According to the Victorville Police Department, two adult males were riding on the Honda motorcycle eastbound on Bear Valley Road when they struck a stray dog running across the roadway.
 
As a result, the dog suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
The male passenger was ejected from the bike. Firefighters requested a helicopter to land at Desert Valley Hospital. That passenger was then airlifted to an out-of-area trauma center in critical condition.
 
Meanwhile, the motorcycle driver was limping after the crash but declined medical transportation.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
