OTAY MESA, CA (December 22, 2023) – One person was trapped in a semi truck accident on 905 Freeway in Otay Mesa Monday morning on December 18.
 
The accident happened just after 11:00 a.m. at Britannia Boulevard. According to the California Highway Patrol, a GMC truck and the semi truck collided along the westbound freeway.
 
Responding officers found one person trapped inside the GMC truck with unspecified injuries. That person was taken to a hospital for proper treatment.
 
Crews closed two freeway lanes while they cleared the wreckage.
 
At this time, the cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
