Two Big Rig Dump Trucks Collide on Highway 138 in Llano

 
LLANO, CA (April 16, 2023) – One person was pinned after a big rig crash on Highway 138 in Llano Friday afternoon on April 14.
 
The crash happened around 3:24 p.m. near Puzzle Canyon Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, two big rig dump trucks collided on the highway in unclear circumstances. One of the dump trucks overturned and spilled a load of gravel rocks all over the roadway.
 
Los Angeles Fire Department and San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the scene. Firefighters rendered aid to one driver pinned inside the truck.
 
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department crews took the trapped driver to Antelope Valley Medical Center. The other driver was transported by ground ambulance.
 
The extent of injuries sustained in the crash was not immediately known.
