Early Morning Two-Vehicle Accident on Ventura Freeway in Thousand Oaks Ends in Fatality

 
THOUSAND OAKS, CA (January 9, 2022) – At least one person was killed in a two-vehicle accident on Ventura (101) Freeway in Thousand Oaks, early Sunday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened around 3:40 a.m. on January 9, along the northbound freeway near the Conejo Scales. According to the Ventura County Fire Department, a silver sedan collided with another vehicle for unknown reasons.
 
Officers arrived and located both vehicles in the center divider, the sedan had major rear-end damage. They also found at least one fatality as a result of the accident.
 
The name, age and hometown of the victim were not immediately available.
 
At this time, the circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
