Morning Two-Vehicle Accident on 170 Freeway in Sun Valley Leaves 1 with Fatal Injuries

 
SUN VALLEY, CA (October 15, 2021) – One person was killed in a two-vehicle accident on Hollywood (170) Freeway in Sun Valley Thursday morning.
 
The crash happened just before 5:00 a.m. on October 14, along the southbound lanes of the freeway near Roscoe Boulevard. According to the California Highway Patrol, a blue Chevrolet and a gray Toyota collided for unknown reasons.
 
When officers arrived, they found a male occupant lying in the roadway. That person suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
The coroner’s office withheld the victim’s identity pending notification of next of kin.
 
At this time, the cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
