Fatal Rollover Crash on 110 Freeway in South Los Angeles

 
SOUTH LOS ANGELES, CA (October 19, 2022) – One person died in a rollover accident on 110 Freeway in South Los Angeles early Sunday morning, October 16.
 
The accident happened around 4:22 a.m. at West Florence Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, a black BMW and a red four-door sedan – possibly a Toyota – collided causing one of the cars to overturn several times.
 
CHP officials said one of the drivers was speeding prior to the crash.
 
The Los Angeles Fire Department crews responded and found one person lying in the traffic lanes suffering from a possible head injury.
 
Despite life-saving efforts, one person was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim was not immediately available.
 
It is unknown if there are other injuries sustained in the crash.
 
The CHP is still investigating the exact cause and factors involved.
