Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Sedan on Amethyst Road in Victorville

 
VICTORVILLE, CA (February 12, 2024) – One person was killed in a pedestrian accident at Amethyst Road and Ironstone Avenue in
Victorville on Friday evening.
 
The fatal accident happened around 8:01 p.m. on February 9. According to the Victorville Police Department, a Chevrolet 4-door sedan struck the pedestrian at the intersection.
 
Emergency crews responded and attempted life-saving measures on the pedestrian. However, the victim did not survive and was declared dead at the scene.
 
The driver of a Chevy stayed and cooperated with police.
 
The crash also shattered both the front and rear windshields of the car.
 
Not far from the scene, a wagon containing the pedestrian’s possessions was found. It appears the pedestrian was a transient.
 
Victorville police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatality.
