One Killed in Multi-Vehicle Accident on Highway 17 at Bear Creek Road [Los Gatos, CA]

Evening Crash Involving 5 Vehicles on Highway 17 in Los Gatos Ends in Fatality

 
LOS GATOS, CA (November 15, 2022) – At least one person was killed in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 17 in unincorporated Santa Clara County west of Los Gatos Sunday evening.
 
The fatal accident happened just before 10:00 p.m. on November 13, at the Bear Creek Road off-ramp. According to the California Highway Patrol, a white sedan and four other vehicles collided in unclear circumstances.
 
When officers arrived, they found one person lying in the roadway, possibly ejected during the crash.
 
At least one person suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. The identity of the victim was not immediately available.
 
An unknown number of patients were taken to hospitals for treatment of minor to major injuries.
 
At this time, the cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
