Multi-Vehicle Crash on 605 Freeway in Whittier Leaves 1 Person Dead

 
WHITTIER, CA (December 4, 2023) – One person was killed in a multi-vehicle accident on 605 Freeway in Whittier Thursday morning on November 30.
 
The fatal accident happened around 5:42 a.m. near the Washington Boulevard exit. According to the California Highway Patrol, three vehicles including a dump truck were involved in the crash. The dump truck overturned from the crash, spilling its payload of gravel across all freeway lanes.
 
One person was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim was not immediately available.
 
It was unclear if anyone else was seriously injured in the crash.

At this time, the cause of the crash and factors involved are still under investigation.
