Multi-Vehicle Accident along 15 Freeway near Stateline Leaves 1 Dead

 
STATELINE, CA (April 23, 2022) – One person died in a multi-vehicle accident on 15 Freeway near Stateline on Monday morning.
 
The accident happened around 5:52 a.m. on April 18 just after Yates Well Road. CHP officials said a gray Honda Civic and two other vehicles collided along the southbound lanes of the freeway for unknown reasons.
 
San Bernardino County Fire Department and Clark County Fire Department crews responded, and found a total of four people who were trapped inside their vehicles.
 
Firefighters rendered aid to the patients, but one person died at the scene. Paramedics transported the other patients to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries.
 
A witness told authorities that the driver of the Honda made a U-turn at the inspection station and was traveling the wrong way.
