Fatal Car Accident Involving 3 Vehicles on 15 Freeway in Mountain Pass

 
MOUNTAIN PASS, CA (July 1, 2022) – At least one person was killed in a fiery accident on 15 Freeway near Mountain Pass on Thursday morning, June 30.
 
The accident happened around 10:33 a.m. near Bailey Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, an SUV, a pickup truck and a semi truck collided for unknown reasons. The SUV ended up underneath the semi and burst into flames.
 
The pickup truck also caught fire as a result of the crash.
 
Responding firefighters extinguished the fire. Paramedics performed life-saving aid, but at least one person died at the scene.
 
The name, age and hometown of the victim were not immediately available.
 
At this time, the exact cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
