One Dead in Paramount in Car Accident on Downey Avenue

 
PARAMOUNT, CA (February 25, 2021) — One person was killed in a car accident on Downey Avenue near Flower Street on Tuesday.
 
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the accident occurred around 1:10 a.m.
 
Arriving in the 16600 block of Downey Avenue, police determined that a vehicle had crashed into the side of a house. There, authorities reported no injuries to anyone inside but found the driver trapped in the wreckage.
 
Upon freeing the driver, firefighters pronounced the driver deceased.
 
According to reports, the age, gender and name of the victim have not been released pending family notification.
 
At this time, the cause of the car accident on Downey Avenue remains under investigation. However, speed likely played a factor in the crash.
