SACRAMENTO, CA (August 17, 2022) — One person died after a pedestrian accident on Marconi Avenue on Monday, August 15.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at around 9:30 p.m. in the 4100 block of Marconi Avenue, east of Watt Avenue.
 
The events leading to the incident were not immediately released. In addition, the gender and age of the pedestrian are not available.
 
CHP believes alcohol or drugs played a role and the driver was under the influence.
 
Officials temporarily closed the lanes where the crash happened but it has since reopened.
