One Dead in Motorcycle Accident on Wooley Road [Oxnard, CA]

One Fatally Injured in Motorcycle Accident on Wooley Road and E Street

 
OXNARD, CA (February 24, 2021) — A rider died in a motorcycle accident on Wooley Road in Oxnard on Monday, February 22.
 
According to the Oxnard Police Department, the incident happened around 6:50 p.m. on Wooley Road and E Street. The collision involved a 2009 Yamaha motorcycle and a 2009 Mercedes Benz.
 
The motorcyclist sustained moderate to severe injuries. Medics rushed the rider to Ventura County Medical Center in Ventura for treatment. The motorcyclist received medical aid but died of injuries at about 10:55 p.m.
 
Officials have not yet released the motorcyclist’s identity pending family notification.
 
There were no reports if the driver of the Mercedes had any injuries.
 
Authorities have not yet determined how the crash transpired. However, they said alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
 
The investigation about the incident is still ongoing.
