Two Vehicles Involved in Accident on Planz Road in Bakersfield
BAKERSFIELD, CA (February 24, 2021) – Crews rescued three people in a two-vehicle accident on Planz Road on February 22.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Wible Road around 2:18 AM.
Based on a report, two vehicles collided in the lanes. Prior to that, officers suspected that one of the vehicles ran the red light. Subsequently, a second vehicle t-boned it. Consequently, both vehicles flipped over in the lanes. Witnesses turned one vehicle back on its wheels. Afterwards, they reported that smoke began to come from the car.
As a result, firefighters pulled two people from one vehicle and one person from the other vehicle. At this point, the victims’ conditions are not yet available.
As of now, the Bakersfield Police Department is trying to determine the cause of this accident on Planz Road. In addition, officials say that no other details are currently available.
