One Killed in Oceanside Car Accident on Highway 78

 
OCEANSIDE, CA (September 23, 2021) — One person died in a car crash on Highway 78 near College Boulevard Tuesday night.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal incident happened before 10:00 p.m.
 
Under unclear circumstances, at least one vehicle became involved in the crash and sent one car down an embankment. According to witnesses, one person ended up on the eastbound freeway and Good Samaritans began placing cones down to steer traffic away from the scene.
 
Upon arriving, paramedics confirmed one fatality. However, officials have not released the victim’s name.
 
At this time, authorities plan to investigate this crash further. Therefore, anyone with more information should contact CHP.
