CAJON JUNCTION, CA (January 22, 2023) – One person was critically injured after a rollover accident on Highway 138 in Cajon Junction Tuesday afternoon on January 17.
 
The crash happened around 12:46 p.m., just east of 15 Freeway. According to the CHP, a black SUV was traveling westbound on the highway when it struck a pole and overturned. It then landed on its roof.
 
San Bernardino County Fire Department crews responded and located the vehicle with major damage and one person was trapped underneath it.
 
A ground ambulance took the trapped person to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in critical condition.
 
A second ambulance was requested for another occupant who sustained minor injuries.
 
At this time, the exact cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
