Police Arrest Nicole Baccarella for DUI after Crash in Riverside

 
RIVERSIDE, CA (September 4, 2022) – Police arrested Nicole Shawn Baccarella after a DUI crash in Riverside on Thursday evening, September 1.
 
The crash happened around 7:00 p.m. at the intersection of Collett Avenue and Pierce Street. According to the Riverside Police Department, the 35-year-old suspect was driving her Range Rover eastbound on Collett Avenue when she lost control. She then crossed into the westbound lanes, striking a westbound 2007 Toyota Corolla.
 
Paramedics arrived and found the occupants of the Toyota, a 23- year-old woman and her 4-year-old relative, suffering from major injuries. They rushed them to a hospital for proper treatment.
 
Other occupants in both vehicles sustained moderate injuries.
 
Baccarella only had minor injuries. Police later arrested her on suspicion of DUI resulting in great bodily injury and being in possession of drug paraphernalia. They booked her into the Robert Presley Jail at $50,000 bail.
