Nathan Ponichter Dies after Struck by Vehicle on Skyline Boulevard in Pacifica

 
PACIFICA, CA (February 24, 2022) – 37-year-old Pacifica resident Nathan Ponichter died in a pedestrian accident in Pacifica on Monday evening.
 
The accident happened around 9:30 p.m. on February 21 along Skyline Boulevard, also known as Highway 35, just between Manor and King drives. According to the CHP, Ponichter was walking in the area when a vehicle struck him.
 
The impact caused Ponichter fatal injuries. As a result, he died at the scene, according to the San Mateo County Coroner’s Office.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the involved vehicle stayed on scene and cooperated with police.
 
Crews closed the Skyline Boulevard near the crash site until around 3:40 a.m. Tuesday while they cleared the wreckage.
