Motorcyclist Suffers Injuries after Struck by DUI Driver on West Stockton Boulevard in Galt

 
GALT, CA (February 18, 2025) – A motorcyclist was hurt in a DUI hit-and-run crash at West Stockton Boulevard and Twin Cities Road in Galt.
 
The crash happened Saturday morning on February 16. According to the Galt Police Department, an intoxicated driver in a Ford SUV struck the motorcyclist.
 
After striking the victim, the driver of the SUV fled the scene without rendering aid.
 
Fortunately, the motorcyclist only sustained minor injuries from the crash.
Officers contacted the male suspect at a shopping center about three miles south of the crash site in the 1000 block of C Street.
 
Police said the suspect was unable to remember where he struck the motorcyclist due to his high level of intoxication.
 
In addition to having two prior DUI convictions, the suspect was on DUI court probation and his license was suspended for prior DUI.
 
Police arrested the suspect and booked him into the Sacramento County Main Jail on felony charges of DUI and hit-and-run.
